I bring decades of experience managing complex, high-stakes projects in organisations across multiple countries. I have led teams, transformed processes, and delivered results where stakes were high and margins for error were low. I use this lens of structure, risk, and systemic thinking to help coaches see beyond the client in front of them. I help them understand the systems their clients operate in, the repeating patterns, and the leverage points for change.

I have trained coaches to International standards. My Story — And Why I’m Here to Help You

For as long as I can remember, I wanted to be an entrepreneur.

I had ideas—good ones.
Ideas that could have worked… if I’d known how to follow through.

But back then, I didn’t have systems.
I didn’t have mentors.
I didn’t understand how to turn vision into execution.

I only knew I wanted independence.

At 22, I left my job as a junior reporter at Caxton and backpacked through Israel. For the first time, I tasted what true independence felt like—no safety net, no family nearby, no guarantees. Just me, my choices, and the pressure to make it work.

It was exciting.

And terrifying.

I came back for the Rugby World Cup in ’95, worked for a friend for six months, then headed to the UK for three years searching for signs—clues about what I was meant to do. I wasn’t chasing passion back then.

I was chasing survival.

I worked as a barman.
A kitchen assistant.
Anything that paid.

But during that time, something became clear: I wanted to build in IT. I wanted to create things that lasted. I wanted to run projects, not just jobs.

So I studied.

I leaned on relationships.
Made connections.
Took chances.

That’s how I entered project management—and over the next 25 years, I learned the real ropes:

How to plan complex initiatives.
How to manage risk when millions are on the line.
How to lead teams under pressure.
How to work with demanding customers.
How to launch projects in banks, retail groups, telecoms firms, and IT organisations.

But even with all that experience… I still made painful mistakes.

In 2009, I started a property business. I poured my pension into building a website. Six months later, I couldn’t afford the updates—R4,000 just to change a page. I abandoned the whole thing.

That failure stayed with me.

Not because I was reckless…
But because I didn’t yet have the tools.

And that’s the part most people don’t talk about.

You can be intelligent.
Hard-working.
Driven.

And still feel like you’re missing something.

I know that feeling.

I’ve stood exactly where you are—trying to piece things together, learning the hard way, burning time and money because nobody showed me a clearer path.

Eventually, I stopped relying on trial and error.

Then I spent five years formally training as a coach.
